Visa is a fundamental requirement to enter the Republic of Korea, and in principle, foreigners must have valid visas when they travel. However, those who fall under any of the following categories below are allowed to enter Korea without visas. (Article 7(2) of the Immigration Act). ( Click)
 

Visa Free Entry by Designation

Visa free countries are designated based on international conventions, principle of reciprocity and national interests. (45 countries as of 2022.10.01)
In general, citizens of visa free countries are allowed to tour or visit Korea without a visa and to stay in the country for up to 30 days.
In addition, Canada(6months), citizens of Macau, the US, Australia, Hong Kong, Slovenia, Taiwan, Argentina and Japan are allowed to stay for up to 90 days.
For most attendees, it is easier to apply for a Tourist ("L") visa; an invitation letter is NOT required for obtaining a Tourist visa.

持有中国护照的居民，持直飞往返登机牌，且护照有效期超过6个月，可免签入境济州岛。如果还需前往韩国其他地区，需办理韩国签证。

 

Invitation Letters

1. The invitation letter will be issued after the successful registration.
2. Your name must be listed exactly as it appears on your passport. Any differences between the name on your passport and the name on your invitation letter or other documentation could lead to a delay and/or denial of your visa.
3. Please note EITBDA Conference and the organizing committees of the conference are not authorized to assist with the VISA process beyond providing the Notification of Invitation Letter issued by  EITBDA Conferences and conference Committee Board. Should your application be denied, EITBDA Conferences and the organizing committee of the conference cannot change the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, nor will EITBDA Conferences and the organizing committee of the conference engage in discussion or correspondence with the MOFA or the Embassy on b ehalf of the applicant. The registration fee cannot be refunded when the VISA application of individual being denied.
4. It takes around one month for the Embassy to process the VISA application, please register as early as you can to make sure you have enough time.
